Portrait of Federico Viglione

I am a philosopher working on analytic metaphysics and philosophy of physics. My recent work focuses on the beginning of the universe and related problems coming from the metaphysics of time, the philosophy of cosmology and relativity, and adjacent questions in the philosophy of mathematics and religion.

I am currently a Research Affiliate at Università degli Studi di Torino. I previously held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Università degli Studi di Milano (2023–2025) and a Predoctoral Researcher position at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2018–2022).

I always like good, inspiring stories, be they scientific or philosophical theories about how reality really is, or fantasy and science fiction tales.
